The HCA is the largest private hospital group in London, UK and since 2006, the HCA International Foundation has been offering Travelling Scholarships to excellent candidates keen on advancing their training by visiting institutions abroad or in the UK. Applications are received from consultants within 10 years of appointment or from registrars on a specialist training programme.
Emphasis is usually placed on techniques not commonplace in the UK, but which will have useful and extensive application. The aim is that the expertise gained by the candidates will be beneficial to their patients, and will be shared with other colleagues on their return.
