Mentoring Programme

Coaching you to success!

Designed for trainees and lifelong learners

mentoring and support As the only body representing Nigerian medical doctors and allied professionals in the UK, MANSAG is launching the MANSAG Mentoring Scheme (MMS) as an avenue to harnessing the wealth of experience amongst senior members of the organisation in order to provide direct one-to-one support to junior colleagues in the profession.

The aim of MMS is to offer support and guidance to junior doctors within their area of specialist interest as they develop their career. It is recognised that successful careers depend not only on strong clinical skills and academic excellence but also on making the right career choices. We hope that MMS mentors will be able to offer insights, share experiences and expertise as well as provide support and encouragement.

trainee excited The focus of the mentoring relationships is expected to be:

  • Career guidance/job applications
  • Personal development planning
  • Networking online within specialist email user-groups(eg GP, Paeds, Obs/Gynae etc)
  • Academic collaborations in research and publications.

With the rich diversity and expertise within the MANSAG organisation we are confident that every mentee will be matched with a highly experienced mentor. We will also be taking into account geographical location in order to best facilitate face-to– face meetings which we will encourage at least twice yearly. If you would like to be mentored, please submit the online form below and we will contact you shortly.

A Trainee's Testimonial

Thank you MANSAG. This has done for me exactly what it said on the tin. I would highly recommend it. I felt supported all the way and was able to bounce off ideas with my mentor almost every day
